Revamping a 6-storey House in a Conservation area

Knightsbridge, London (2019-22)

Late intervention as Interior Architect / Client’s Agent into a project under construction for an end-of-terrace 6-storey house of 480sqm within a Conservation area.

The property had already obtained Planning Consent to demolish and rebuild as well as a new basement.

The brief was to project manage the project; however reconfiguration of some layouts, substantial redesign and additional elements were required.

Working closely with appointed architect and appointed contractor, my intervention entailed:

  • Reconfiguration of lower-ground floor of kitchen-dining overlooking the garden.

  • Redesign of the rear garden with a spiral stair to connect to the upper terrace.

  • Redesign & specification of the glazed conservatory & terrace layout.

  • Reconfiguration of top master suite with new access to a roof terrace.

  • Coordination for a reconfigured electro-mechanical design for entire property.

  • Reconfiguration & interior architecture of 6 bathrooms, 4 toilets & main kitchen.

  • Redesign of 2 bars for leisure & entertaining.

  • Introduction of a new bespoke fireplace and themed lounges.

  • Selection of new finishes & materials for the entire property.

New Kitchen-Dining layout, to ensure access to redesigned garden and breakfast bar view out. Discreet sliding doors for formal entertaining .
